The EMQN CIC accreditation is conferred by the European Molecular Genetics Quality Network, a non-profit organization specializing in external quality assessment. This accreditation is tailored for laboratories engaged in molecular genetic testing. The EMQN CIC ensures that our laboratory adheres to stringent standards of accuracy, reliability, and best practices in genetic diagnostics.
Macrogen Europe actively participated in the assessment of 'DNA Sequencing – NGS (Germline)’ organized by EMQN. This evaluation, joined by 385 laboratories, scrutinized the sensitivity and precision of variant detection using whole genome sequencing and whole exome sequencing. Laboratories achieving an F-score above 90% for SNPs within high-confidence genome regions received the highest rating. Macrogen Europe was among the companies that reached that threshold and validated our steadfast commitment to delivering quality and precision in our outcomes for NGS Services.
ISO17025 is an internationally recognised accreditation that attests to the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. Beyond validating the proper calibration and maintenance of our laboratory equipment, this accreditation ensures that our personnel are suitably qualified to conduct tests and calibrations and adhere to standardised methods and procedures. This accreditation is exclusive to our lab in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
